so, i’ve slacked a bit

do you have any idea how much energy is involved in Vacation Bible School. IT’S ALOT!!! and i wasn’t even the one in charge. but let me tell you, it was all worth it! VBS was great! we had more than 50 kids every night. there was singing. there was snacks. and most importantly, 16 kids gave their life to Jesus on Wednesday night! it was amazing!
there was also a small competition to see who could earn the most points. the kids got points by bringing their bibles, bringing in items for the offering, or wearing something tied to the theme of the evening. and the winner of this competition got a special prize…their team got to put a pie in my face! well, needless to say THEY LOVED THAT!!! it came down to friday night, one team would lead then the other team would lead and by friday night, there was a miracle! somehow, the teams tied! so what did that mean for me…2 PIES!!! it was great, until 15-20 minutes after i started smelling like sour milk. but again, it was all worth it.

Pie time

to God be all the Glory.

One week.

the LifePoint edition of Vacation Bible School will be here in one week! It is a very exciting and busy time here at the Loft as we are all prepping and helping to make this an incredible event for the Children’s Ministry.
Last night, instead of a game and a lesson, we cleaned the Loft during youth group. and i just wanted to take this opportunity to brag on my students. they are some of the best helpers in the world! they vacuumed, organized, hauled garbage, and did it all with very little complaining. it was a great opportunity for them to serve the younger students in our church.
i am looking forward to helping next week and watch some of the younger kids in LifePoint’s family to experience Jesus in their life!
Pray for us, the volunteers and especially the kids and this will be a week!

looking into the future.

well, things are moving pretty fast! time is flying by and there is a lot to do.

this sunday we will be recognizing our graduates from high school, college, and a couple post-grad folks.

we are also very close to starting phase 2 of the loft renovation project, which needs to be done by the end of august, in order for the oncc peeps to move in.

i am also working on some plans for the student ministry this summer as well as re-re-stoking the young adult ministry.

like i said, lots to do. but to God be all the glory!
